Water bottles are a must have for anyone who spends time out hiking, camping or running. There are plenty of different designs, each with a specific features adding more functionality and in some cases, just for the purpose of looking cooler. With an abundance of models available on the market it can get a bit confusing trying to settle on a design. So I figured I’d share my two cents on the matter and give you my opinion regarding which bottles served me the best and what features I enjoyed the most.
Thermos Intak 24-Ounce Hydration Bottle
The Thermos Intak has great features to offer. These water bottles are made from BPA- free impact resistant plastic, perfect for throwing in the dishwasher for a quick clean. It also has a convenient push button sipper that is designed to stay more hygienic and it also has a ring around the cap that allows you to monitor your water intake for the day by turning the ring to match your progress. It also comes with an ergonomic grip making it comfortable to hold and 24 ounces capacity.
Klean Kanteen Classic 27-Ounce Stainless Steel Bottle
The Klean Kanteen Classic is a favourite among many people. It is made from stainless steel which is very easy to wash and it can be used in a dishwasher without having to worry about your bottle breaking. The Klean Kanteen stainless steel cap is favourite among many but it can also be switched out for the sports version, which is plastic but has a more comfortable opening. The Klean Kanteen stainless steel cap however is much more durable and can be washed in a dishwasher. This cap also allows you to clip a carbiner on it, so you can attach it to your belt or backpack.
Lifefactory 22-Ounce Glass Bottle
Lifefactory’s bottle is made from glass that is held together with a protective grip mesh surrounding the outside of the bottle. It is there to allow you to have a better grip and prevent the bottle from breaking easily. They are also BPA/BPS free. If placed in a dishwasher with the protective grip it can be washed safely. However, there is a chance of it breaking without it. Overall, this is a nice transparent drinking bottle suitable for different drinks.
Hydro Flask 24-Ounce Insulated Bottle
The Hydro Flask has a double wall vacuum insulation allowing it to keep the content either hot or cold. Because of the vacuum, the outside temperature won’t affect the inside temperature allowing the liquid to retain its own temperature for longer, providing you with cold beverages in the summer and hot for the winter. It has a standard mouth opening with a diameter being 45 mm, which is wide enough for pouring in denser liquids such as coffee or sports drinks and it is covered by the Hydro Flask lifetime warranty.
